Talk & Fork is designed for cocktail style events and parties and functions where limited seating is available.  This is a wonderful catering style that offers choice, quantity and a social atmosphere for guests to relax and enjoy at any event.  Guests can socialise and walk around with food served over a period of time
Finger Foods are a great way to start your event on guest arrival or to follow your wedding ceremony.  Guests can enjoy bite sized catering options while enjoying a drink and socialising with guests
Talk & Fork is combined with a selection of Finger Foods to begin followed by a selection of mini meals offering a wonderful choice for guests.  Talk & Fork can be served hot and cold to include substantial smaller meals.  Served over a period of time, guests can select one or several dishes to enjoy
Catering options are served from a table on platters for guests to help themselves, and also walked around directly to guests to enjoy.  Having food available at several locations ensures that guests will always be able to access food especially when walking around.

Let’s face it, for some of us dessert is the best part of a party
At Weddings and Birthdays the cake is always a showpiece, and there is no doubting why
When deciding what to offer guests for dessert at your function think about what you like best
At weddings a formal cake or cupcakes are a great option
It is also a great idea to have your catering company provide desserts also.  This ensures you don’t have to worry about cutting the cake before you are ready to
Dessert Buffets can work several ways
Desserts can be individually plated for guests and they can simply pick which type of cake they would like.  Spoons can be available from the buffet table or positioned on tables prior to guest arrival.  Alternatively you can provide plates and spoons at the dessert buffet so guests can help themselves at their leisure.  This can be a perfect option where lots of different choices are available or where large numbers are involved

The Sunshine Coast is a beautiful area, and is generally perfect for functions year round. Summer is the most popular time for Weddings on The Sunshine Coast and surrounds. Noosa, Montville, Mudjimba and Caloundra seem to be the most popular places; however Maleny and Coolum are also increasingly popular. Winter is a great time for weddings in this region, as the days are generally clear and warm, however it can rain late during the night.

Finger Food is a perfect way to celebrate after your wedding ceremony or start of your function. This is an extremely adaptable method of service, and can be tailored to suit your time and location. Finger Foods is best served while guests are standing and is extremely popular for social functions, as guests can mingle freely with other guests.

Finger Foods will vary between catering companies, however working with SafeHands Catering will ensure platters are beautifully presented with fresh tasty food and decorative and sometimes edible garnishes. The service can range from 1 – 2 hours, depending on your catering package.

Talk & Fork is a perfect combination to follow your Finger Food service. Talk & Fork menus are tailored to suit functions with limited seating and designed for functions that require a relaxed social atmosphere.

This type of catering is suited to follow Finger Foods, and is a more filling option for guests to finish the evening. Talk & Fork catering is generally served in smaller bowls so guests can eat while standing or from Cocktail Tables. A range of options are available and can be adapted to suit your function and guest requirements. An example menu from SafeHands Catering includes the following options.

As each function is unique, we work with you to understand the location, area for us to setup and work onsite, number of guest numbers and service style and menu to ensure your function runs smoothly and efficiently.
We have watched over the years as the number of catering companies continues to expand and with it the styles and methods of catering and delivery.  It is common for clients to ask if we prepare onsite or if everything is prepared and then delivered hot for service. 

Another common question is if we prepare our own foods or use frozen / pre-made goods for our service
